Fingers numb while playing computer?

Lately I have noticed that my pinky and ring finger go numb on my left hand while I'm on the computer. It's not the whole finger though, it's only the finger tips. It's not completely numbed out however. It's only slightly. I can feel it only when I press down on my finger tips.

Do you know what this is?

Don't worry about it, it is actually really common, it's called Ulnar Nerve Entrapment and it is usually caused by resting your elbow on a hard surface for long periods of time or having your elbow bent for long periods of time (such as it is when typing on the computer) you can also get it from driving or talking on a cell phone pretty much anything where you bend your elbow. Just straighten your arm for a minute or so and it will fix itself.

Hi there, I am definitely not a medical doctor but if you are consistently on the computer with poor support for your wrist this could be a symptom of carpal tunnel. If you can try not using the computer for a day or so and see if it still happens to see if its even related to the computer or not. Then I suggest going to a medical doctor if it continues. It sounds like nerve damage from too much wrist repetitive motion. Get off the computer and into the streets, and it'll get better. If you keep spending untold hours on the computer you are risking permanent damage.
