Contacting my boyfriend

This might seem like a funny question by whatever.

My boyfriend is on this 10 week adventure wellness camp. When I last spoke to him, he really wanted to write to me during his time there and said that they probably wouldn't allow him to write for at least a week.

It's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything from him.

I don't have an email or address that I can send letters to.

Should I call this camp and ask for an address or email?

The issue is that this camp is very restrictive with communication. I know he informed them he was dating me and gave them my email address (hopefully the right one...) and said he was allowed to contact me, and vice versa. However, I'm not positive he has told his father yet (he does know about me, although). This is a very new relationship, as in he told me I was "now his girlfriend" when he was on his way to this camp. He was worried I was going to "disappear" when he was away haha. I haven't met his family yet because we were going to do that when he returned and make everything more "official", but I'm worried they are going to call his dad and be like, "permission for his girlfriend to write" blah blah.

Maybe I'm just being weird and silly about it. But I would like to send him a letter since his birthday is coming up and I do miss him a lot.

Well, I can understand you wanting to send him a letter with the birthday and all, but the camp sounds like a special situation. I mean, there's probably a good reason why he hasn't contacted you - who knows what's going on there? Maybe a ton of activities and a situation in which it's difficult to send letters or call. What you don't want to do is come across as going to great lengths to get in touch, doing research, using a carrier pigeon, or having long conferences with his dad. This just makes it seem like you can't deal with a little separation, and - even if he adores you - no guy likes to feel smothered. So I would say chill out: you'll probably hear from him soon.

That's exactly why I asked this question lol. I don't want to smothered him at all because I hate it when I am smothered by a guy. I haven't even met his father yet so I'm definitely not going to contact him.

I can deal with the separation, but I am a little frustrated that I cannot write him (he won't have his phone until he's done with the program). My thinking is I'll wait another week or two to see if there's any contact and maybe think of a plan (if even that).

You could call the camp and ask for an adress, why not? Send him a birthday card, I'm sure there's a good reason he hasn't been able to call..

we met at school. I'm not sure how to contact his father since he's from another state. his father doesn't know we are dating and not even his friends at school or at home have the information. lol it's so complicated!

I wouldn't wait around for someone I hardly know anything about,i would be wondering if he in fact even went to this so called camp..smells fishy

It's some family tradition thing... the goal is to go back to nature and learn to live off it haha
