Should I be worried about missed periods? (not sexually active)

I've missed three periods in row now. I'm 18; however, I've had my period for less than a year. Apparently, I'm a late bloomer. Any advice or insight would be extremely helpful!

I don't think it is "normal" for any girl to miss "three periods" in a row, sweetie, unless she is pregnant. Which, I am quite sure by now, you would know.

My suggestion Now would be, call your gynecologist and get a thorough check-up, and get your body back on track. There may be just a matter of a simple hormone imbalance that just needs adjusting. Your physician will best equip you with all the right answers.xx

If you just started and your cycle takes long gaps it's nothing to worry about. When you first start menstruating your period can go absentee for a while until your hormones adjust themselves to get more regular. If it persists and you really feel worried about it make an appointment with the Gynie or general doctor.

It may even be stress that holds you off a bit longer to but don't worry you'll get regular periods after this first year or so lol.

Honestly, you should tell your doctor or your gynecologist about it. A friend of mine missed her periods fo a year because of stress. Another didn't have her periods and took the pill because of it. It's probably nothing serious but just in case, it's always better to check with a doctor. Sure, it's cool not to have your periods but it has to be caused by something.

Nothing to worry about I was sort of a late bloomer too and even after a couple years later I was irregular so I would miss even 3 months in a row at times bt everything was normal . Later on it will be off maybe two months in a row or just a few weeks . But if you are concerned just go to a doctor and they can explain more to you.

It's pretty normal to miss them within the first few years after your first period. If it continues for more than 2 years I'd probably go and see the doctor to make sure everything's alright.

Wow I wish I had that luck! (been suffering since I was 11) irregular periods are common and nothing to fear since your not sexually active.
