Did a diet ruin your relationship?

I have lost weight before (90lbs) on a low carb diet...but sadly... I have gained 30lbs back :( I was single, under 21, and focusing on starting college during this time so it was easy to avoid the typical diet sabotage areas.

Now, I am in a serious relationship, over 21, and my friends and family revolve almost every outing around food/drinking.

I am afraid of starting my strict low carb diet again, and losing friends/my boyfriend because I can't go to the same restaurants anymore (think bar food where EVERYTHING is deep-fried) or go out drinking (ever realize how boring it is when all your friends are buzzed/drunk and your sober? Honestly, when your on a diet and no one else is, its a lonely place.

Has anyone ever had these experiences?
