Have you ever seen something homemade and really wanted it?

[dustybiker2]

I have so much love for this dog lol

I want the schematics for this!! Why don't people watermark their images? 😩

What about you?

[GuyAnswersGirls123]

This one, although I want to try modifying the software.

[dustybiker2]

Oh my goodness 🤣

“It sucks, and it cuts!”
“Well, it certainly does suck!”

~ Wayne’s World

[GuyAnswersGirls123]

@82lynx The machine should use that quote! 😂

[The_Sexpert]

It's commercially available as petsafe ball launcher

[dustybiker2]

Oh sweet. Why would you go anon for this? 🤔

[The_Sexpert]

Well sorry about that
Anyways here's a sad news.. the Dog's name is Jerry and this video is from 2008.. so he's probably no longer with us (

[dustybiker2]

Thanks for revealing yourself. Nice to meet you.
And for sharing the main video. Appreciated. 😎

[TrueConfection]

That's hilarious! I want one too! 💕

Well, I tried to upload am image 4 times without success. The picture is of a handmade glider bench. It was actually for sale, but I was pout of state. It was beautiful and would be great in my backyard.

[dustybiker2]

One of those benches mixed with a good book and a nice drink sounds like a lovely Sunday.

[Miah04]

Not really. But that is too funny and adorable

[dustybiker2]

Would your dog play with this?

[Miah04]

Definitely.😂

[Miah04]

And be adorable seeing him load it

[dustybiker2]

Load and pat. lol

[Wiredone]

Hey, no playing ball in the house.

Yeah I'd like to build some cool stuff if I had the time

[dustybiker2]

That rule does not apply in my home. We also have mini nerf guns hidden strategically around the home, too.

[Wiredone]

Kinda like the videos I see on Facebook where they shoot balloons full of white liquid stuff when the spouse comes in the room and it pours all over them. Then they shoot confetti afterwards

[dustybiker2]

Yes.. but far less mess. 😂

[Wiredone]

Hahaha 😆 😂

[dustybiker2]

Nothing like breaking tension by being shot in the back.

[handsomelad70]

Hi, dusty ! Are your given names Johnnie B?

[dustybiker2]

@handsomelad70 Hi. Nope. Different dusty.

[handsomelad70]

So you DIDN'T manage the Astros to the 2022 MLB World Championship?

[dustybiker2]

@handsomelad70 I'd gladly accept the paycheck.

[handsomelad70]

Who wouldn't? Bezos, Buffett, Musk and some other billionaires, but 99.9999999% of the rest of us would.

[dustybiker2]

@handsomelad70 Eating more than potatoes and bread with that profit.

[worldscolide]

All the damn time. Its part of why i got into 3d printing.

[dustybiker2]

That is a fun and functional hobby.

[Charliefretz329]

Many things, and sometimes I build them from my Chinese blueprints… 🙂🙃

[dustybiker2]

Our ever creative, Charlie. 😎

[Charliefretz329]

🙂 😎

[KrakenAttackin]

Very cool! Between the members at GAG I'm sure we could reverse engineer this thing for you!

[dustybiker2]

Yes! As long as I get to help. 😎

[KrakenAttackin]

Of course!

[dustybiker2]

I'm in. •rubs hands together•

[TheSpaceGnome]

Many times.

[dustybiker2]

lol And one of them was... come on. Feed the Q, please.

[TheSpaceGnome]

Pretty much everything on nerdforge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJy7Jmpxc4w

And a lot of homemade colllectable stuff on etsy.

[TheSpaceGnome]

This is my end goal in life, to just make everything I want.

[dustybiker2]

This is great. 😲 How clever. Reminds me of the dollhouse kits as a kid. But better.
I love Etsy too.

[TheSpaceGnome]

Yeah I hate how most stuff today or ugly, cheaply made, and boring. This stuff is a nice reversal to that.

[TheSpaceGnome]

today is*

[TheSpaceGnome]

I'm also a maximalist, so I like having lots of useless pretty or cool things.

[dustybiker2]

Your home must really feel like a home.

[TheSpaceGnome]

Yup, and it feels like an office, and an art studio, and a collectable shop, and an arcade, and a library/study, and a home theater.

[dustybiker2]

Perfect 😎

[82lynx]

That’s my primary motivation for making stuff, or at least fixing up old stuff. The former is difficult for me though as I lack precision tools and often have trouble finding quality materials.

I recently salvaged a control panel from a built-in microwave and wired it to work independently of the microwave. Not wanting to make it too obvious what its original purpose was I tore it down to just the PCB/display and the plastic bracket. Now I need to add a 16-pin connector to replace the flimsy ribbon cable and start shorting wires to find out which combo does what. Then I need to find a neat use for it. I saved the transformer too, cutting out the HV secondary of course; the result wasn’t perfect but I’m getting better at stripping those things.

[TheSpaceGnome]

@82lynx I wish everyone was that interested in figuring out how electronics work 👍

[82lynx]

Thanks! Speaking of arcades, I could probably maintain and repair old arcade machines what with my background in older CRT televisions. I could probably set up a home theatre as well if I could get the parts I need for my 1981 Mitsubishi front projection set, not to mention a house to properly accommodate my passions which would be a first for me. Lately my focus has been on my Shark NV800C vacuum which was found by a dumpster; no idea why, I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. It’s a powerhouse and I love the colour, but it had design elements I didn’t like so I modded the crap out of it which included stripping away the plastic bling for a more basic look.

Oh yeah, I didn’t keep much at all from the above mentioned microwave; although it was bigger than my regular-use 1984 Kenmore, it weighed far less. I kept the wiring, the light bulb sockets and the remaining bulb, the modded HV transformer, the control board/timer and the glass and tossed everything else. It was a low-quality item overall so I got rid of everything I can’t or won’t re-use.

[TheSpaceGnome]

@82lynx Thats really cool o. o

How to repair old arcade cabinets and CRT TVs is definitely something I'd want to know how to do.

[sirderpsalot123]

DIY drum set

[dustybiker2]

Soundproofed? 😈

[sirderpsalot123]

Nah lol

[sirderpsalot123]

I'll practice right outside your house

[dustybiker2]

I'll have my people shoot it with a satellite laser beam.

[dustybiker2]

Marked: Fair warning

[sirderpsalot123]

I was just trying to drown out your neighbors for you 😒

[dustybiker2]

Oh. Thoughtful. Hmm... but I already marked their houses.. so. Maybe later?

[Charliefretz329]

I’ll join in with my mandolin

[sirderpsalot123]

Me on the drums, Charlie on the mandolin, and dusty can do her white girl dance with the crazy arms

[Charliefretz329]

It’s a full on party!

[dustybiker2]

🤣😂🤣

[dustybiker2]

I really beed to show you the others sometime to prove I can really dance.

[dustybiker2]

*need

[sirderpsalot123]

I believe you believe you can dance lol

[dustybiker2]

Nope. I have proof. My family is hoarding the clips.

[sirderpsalot123]

It's ok. I liked the crazy arms. I watched it a few times... I'm easily amused.

[dustybiker2]

It's prob your screen saver.

[sirderpsalot123]

Will not confirm or deny.

[dustybiker2]

Derp translation "I can't stop watching it."

[sirderpsalot123]

Don't tell your husband. I've lost enough points these past couple of days 😒

[dustybiker2]

Oh you have been stacking them up for sure 😒

[sirderpsalot123]

I know... you were right, I do suck 😕

[dustybiker2]

So mean to me 😫

[sirderpsalot123]

Because you can take it

[dustybiker2]

Pfft

[sirderpsalot123]

Pfft nothing

[dustybiker2]

Pfft everything

[strateguy632]

[handsomelad70]

Hi, Buddy !!! What are you eating?
