I frequently get complimented on my ability to back up a trailer. Like today I went to waffle house and my usual area out back was taken up by cars. Luckily it was the evening time, so nobody was there and I was able to back into all the spots out front. Usually I wouldn't do that, but I was just grabbing a to go order. Anyways, I know some people can't back a trailer to save their life lol

Backing up a trailer is definitely a skill, my old man taught me a good trick when I was younger, he said to put my hand on the bottom of the steering wheel, if I want the trailer to move right.. my hand goes right..
I just say you don't steer all crazy moving forward, so why would it be any different moving in reverse?
Because the trailer goes the opposite direction.. if your hand is on the top of the steering wheel and your hand goes right (clockwise) the trailer goes left. If your hand is on the bottom, your hand going right (counter clockwise) the trailer also goes right
It's just a trick so right hand movement= right trailer direction when your hand is on the bottom of the wheel
I know. I get it.
That is a good one to have. It takes a muscle memory of sorts of the movement between vehicle and trailer.
I have a good eye for strait lines. It helps with building things.
that is a rare and great skill n useful too. it is difficult too.
my skill is solving iq questions just naturally.
