I've just realised that in my music collection at least 35% probably more, of the artists or at least one group member are dead. How sad is that?

30 years ago musicians had shorter lives because there was less research about healthy eating and people knew less regarding the dangers of cigarettes and drugs.

Mostly that is not sad especially if the music genre is classical.

There is some excellent recent music; especially Asian and European.

We all die, it's the one natural fact we cannot change. If your collection contains vintage classics, I'm surprised the number isn't higher.

I'm your age and I agree, a lot of our great artists are dead. No doubt. There is however some amazing music still being made RN!! Don't know your genres but lmk & I'll throw some noobs at ya!
