Would you rather play a purely technological RPG or a fantastic RPG?

I can generate either with the same stats and attributes system. I am wondering whether more people would play a game with magical abilities or more people would play a game without magical abilities?

Either way, the technology setting of the game will be futuristic with a slightly fantastical level of technology. For example, here might be some technology level indicators:

Inertial Dampening

near Light-Speed travel

Time Stop/Slow/Haste mechanics

Dimensional Compression

Artificial Gravity

Character Scale Weapons will be:

Sword

.45s

Shotgun

Sniper Rifle

Character scale weapons get a modifier from +1 to +10 which increases hit and damage by the modifier amount.

Power Suit Weapons will be 10X scale of character weapons, and will be:

Missiles: 5 Explosive dmg

Super Missiles: 15 Explosive dmg

Heat Ray: 8 Energy dmg and N amount of Heat dmg (subject to balance)

Freeze Ray: 8 Energy dmg and applies "Slow" status for three turns (subject to balance).

Lightning Ray: 8 Energy dmg and applies "Stop" status for one turn due to shorting out electronics.

CIWS (Close-In Weapons System) 1 Concussive Damage per round, D20 rounds hit.
