Every year I go and meet some old friends in Oregon and we go snowboarding at Mt. Hood… it’s pretty incredible.

Some years it’s snowy the whole time, which brings its own share of benefits and the snow is always fresh, but other years it’s like this and it’s just such an invigorating sight. Sometimes I’ll just sit back as the group goes on, at the top of the lift and take it all in for a good 20 minutes or so… and this pic isn’t even from there, you can go up way higher.

But yeah, after a year (or more) away or so, it’s just something I always look forward to… it’s like one of those healing moments, being out in nature, feeling like you’re one of the lucky few on top of the world.

And it’s said that there are healing properties in the air out there, being out on an active volcano… I tend to believe it too. Something really magical about the place!
