Do you like all forms of music from Classical to Metal?

I love most forms of music unless I can’t understand what they are saying. My all-time favorite band is Iron Maiden. I can go from Metal to Country and back.

In fact, it's interesting you mention that.
Often, while doing the dishes or other kitchen chores, I will say "Hey Google. Play the Coriolan Overture Opus 62 by Beethoven with score on YouTube." (and I have to say it exactly like that or it will play some other version that I don't want.
Then, later, when I need a pick-me-up, I will say "Hey Google. Play Freewheel Burning from the album Defenders of the Faith by Judas Priest on YouTube."

My exgirlfriend took me to the first performance of the Albany (NY) Symphony Orchestra during the first weekend in October 1990. It was Beethoven's 9th Symphony with Chorale. She said it has to be seen - she sang in our schools Chorale and could play piano so she knew these things. Watching this in the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, it was then that I knew that I wanted to marry her.

She had other plans though.

So, I sob like a baby at the end of the 9th... and I like to listen to the Coriolan because it's dramatic and then end is somber; it's the musical description of the death of Coriolanus with the last minute or so with him being mortally wounded. The last 4 notes symbolize his final 4 heartbeats before death.

Ironically Classical music and Metal are two of the most closely related musical genres. Indeed classical music is almost tied with Rock in terms of how close it is to metal!

So many people liking one of those two also like the other one.

My dad was a musician and he listened to a lot of different music. I listen to most of the stuff he did, plus more. He didn't like death metal, grunge, or rap. I don't like most newer pop, new style country, or that new mumbly rap. I'll listen to pretty much anything else.

I really just listen to metal some hard rock industrial ebm and techno or whatever you want to classify aggressive electronic music. I HATE rap and country.
