Is it worse to cheat in a game or to let someone win unfairly?

Anyone who has children knows you gotta sometimes let them win haha. It's unfair and hard to do but if you keep winning (fairly) and they're about to kick off a tantrum it's better to let them win. Cheating to win isn't really winning so has less pleasure in the "result".
I hear you, but once I have kids I'm not going easy on them. Tough love
Oh you just wait lol
By the way... I was one of those kids too. My dad used to tell my sister to let me win now and again or I'd tantrum lol
I think you will see... yes winning fairly and them losing (imagine they are 5 years old) may teach them life is hard and to win you must keep trying to get better and improve. But trying futile at something can cause anxiety, stress and a kind of apathy "why bother. I never win". That's not what you want to teach a young child. If they don't experience joy in success they won't have reason to push for more of it. So I say - you win more because perhaps you have more wisdom/skill but give them a little hope!
And play something they can have a chance to win lol. Like Snap not Chess 😄
I would say cheat is worse becuase it's selfish letting someone win is a selfless act

Intention matters more than the outcome.
To openly cheat in games is big fun. So I voted for the other option
Depends if you like or possibly fancy the other (s) like mad to let them have the upper hand.
Let someone who never won a game before win
@Jennz6 thats my way
let someone win unfairly, i don not think it is bad. cheat in a game
Equally wrong.
Pretty much the same. Voluntarily is a bit worse.
