Do you own a telescope? Might not need it tomorrow night Nov 5 because it is the Beaver Moon (super moon) ?

The peak of the moon is at 8:19 est on Wed.

It its a super moon that is larger and brighter/ closer to earth. This majestic sight is called a Beaver Moon because beavers take shelter in their lodges around this time of year.

Anyone take photos of the moon regularly? I took a badass one on the first day of daylight savings. I will share it.

That is an awesome pic! The moon was so, so bright here last nite and I imagine will be tonite but on the 5th it's supposed to rain.

And yes, we do have a telescope but it is one of them cheap ones from wal-mart we got for Christmas a couple years ago and tried it once or twice but it's about as useless as a glass hammer.

sweet! it is actually nearer than nearest because peri-gee= "nearest" is 226,000 miles (363,300 km) from Earth but last month and this month are "tied" October 7 = November 5 just 221,823 miles! a trip to the moon, now, maybe less fuel?

Best lens I have is Canon EF 75-300mm with digital zoom and tripod I can easily see crater on moon but for beavers i think it's better equipment necessary. lol
Funny name. "Beaver moon". I know "hunter moon" it happens when the moon is red due dust in Earth atmosphere

I have always found a good set of binoculars allow you to explore the moon... I love to look for all the Apollo landing sites myself. I look forward to the return to the moon... its been far too long.
