What is your favorite springtime activity and why?

Fishing is a favorite springtime activity for me.

It's a rush feeling my piscatorial adversary's strength being pitted against me.

In recent years, I've come to realize that the fish is struggling for possibly its life, if I were to go on to harvest and consume its flesh.
And how would a fish know whether I have carnivorous intentions or not?

I rather doubt, though, that fish contemplate life in the same manner as us humans do.

So, yeah, I like fishing in the springtime.

Do you mostly do catch and release or are you eating them?

It depends on the type of fishing I'm doing.

Springtime is a great time to stock my freezer with fresh crappie filets, and so I do.

Other types of fishing that I enjoy are more catch and release, especially when fishing for big smallmouth bass on my favorite Ozark stream.

I enjoyed fishing immensely for many years.

Advancing age and its effects have slowed me down in my fishing, but yeah, I do like fishing.

Dunno if you'd call it a spring or summer activity, but kayaking. I always feel one with nature when I'm gliding on the surface of the water so close, I can always touch it. The only way to describe it is serene.

My all year favorite which is golf and the spring brings out the start of our competitive leagues and runs through fall. Also the courses become all ours again as the snowbirds have all headed back north by now.

I picked up golf in the past couple years and I fell in love. I've played some pretty wonderful courses. Spyglass beat my ass though along with my dad and brothers 😂

What the Fuck! A newbie to golf and you played Pebble Beach at about $600 a round plus lodging and food. Was your foresome insane or just looking for a place to throw away about $3000 in a weekend on a course I'm sure none of you were capable of playing. What was your score about 140 or more.

Nah my dad and brothers shot about 90-93. I myself probably more.

Well, used to be getting our family’s boat ready for the season. That was a dad and me thing. Now, he has it done before I’m home from school.

Yes! Very excited. Hoping we have a good May so I can get out a bit before I have to work most days. There she is from last year ready to go. I wasn’t there for that year either. ☹️

Sweet corn, green onions, cherry tomatoes, green beans, cucumber and watermelon. I plant impatience, petunias, bleeding hearts, begonias, and sunflowers.

No, just really fertile soil! 😂😂 When I lived in Florida, the only way you could have a decent garden, is by spending a ton of money on fertilized soil. It was really sandy and not fertile at all where I grew up.
