Me, generally. I'll hit the workshop and MacGyver a solution. Example- The frame holding up a bin in the fridge cracked. Buying a new frame- even from some bargain Amazon reseller- would have been $120+, twice that from the manufacturer. I had a couple of thick aluminum rails saved from a file drawer rack. I used one as a "splint" to bridge the crack in the frame. 12 holes and 6 pop-rivets later I had it fixed and back in the fridge. Still going well after two years. Lately, we have a had a guy come over to help with some of the heavy lifting in our garden once/twice a month, but I do all the usual mowing, edging, etc.
The thing that really bugs me is when you hire a "professional" and they are terrible. I had tiles (to be laid in a shower) numbered and lettered at to position. This "pro" goofs it up. My youngest grand-daughter could have given him the pieces- in correct succession- and the job would have been better. Give me a good "amateur" rather than the typical "professional" that we see nowadays. We are lucky, though- there are three of us older guys on our block who can keep the rest of the block in decent shape by just helping each other.
Depending on my situation and the thing to fix:
Oh... Roofing... Woofing ! I get it now !
Me and my husband are both kinda equally skilled/not skilled when it comes to handywork.
We both can do standart stuff but when it comes to more specific things we first call his parents. His father is really good in most things concerning this. If its still not enough we have some friends who will do it proffessionally with a small friendsdiscount. Just when it comes to water stuff its a non friend proffessional we would need to call. Or really specific other things.
Depends on what's broken. Most of the time it's easier just to replace than repair

It is changing to my partner over time, it used to be moreso my dad or uncle. I didn't know for a while that it annoyed my partner when I asked others to do it. He eventually brought it up so now I leave it to him to figure out. I don't totally get it but that is okay as long as it gets fixed which it does!
It's usually me, I'm finishing up a spackle job soon. Then I need to put a handrail for the deck that broke off which I'm hoping it turns out solid. Never done one before.
A while back I replaced the run capacitor for the house fan. Diagnosing that was fun
I do generally. Unless it's outside my skillset, or requires a prorietary part that can't be had or is so expensive that it makes the best sense to just replace whatever it night be, which is often the case these days.
Generally me, I get less frustrated. My partner just makes the hole bigger

I'm the one who does it. I start by looking at it like I know what's wrong, then I look up videos and try to solve it. If I see it's not working out, we call the technician.
I live alone... so its me or it does not get fixed.
The landlord if it's something they're responsible for.
We call repair people, I lack any repairing talent :P
I'll do minor things. I'll leave the rest to the professionals.
why would things be regulrly breaking?
Normal wear and tear of things
Aww woofing 😂
My step dad or a hired tradesman.
