It is that time of year again. December has come and with it all the joys of Christmas. But what is the real meaning of Christmas? Is it all about giving, sharing, eating and drinking? How did Christmas come about? Now let me take your minds back. There was a time on planet earth when there was so much sin, that darkness enveloped the planet earth, not allowing the few righteous people to return home. At that point the souls of men were trapped, not being able to return home to paradise as a result of this darkness that covered earth. Out of His unending love for mankind, the Almighty sent a part of Himself who manifested in the Savior of world (Jesus Christ).
His coming reopen the pathway to paradise which is the Original home of mankind. He was a Spiritual king that was the reason the three wise men who could read stars, understood that a king was born. But a lot people mistook this kingship to be earthly and they assumed that one day, Jesus Christ will overtake them. So out of this misunderstanding of who Jesus was, He was killed. Jesus Christ was not allowed to complete his work and for this he told his disciples in John 16: 12. “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth”. Now the promise Jesus Christ made about the coming of the Spirit of truth many years back has been fulfilled. But how many of us have seen, recognized, or read about the spirit of truth? Or are we condemning the Spirit of Truth, just like we condemned Jesus then?
Truly these questions calls for personal and reflective consideration. There is more to life than what we see and there is a deeper meaning to everything including life itself. A lot of people have lost the reason for their stay here on planet earth. To buttress the fact that there is a meaning to everything in life: we eat so that we can grow, we go to school to become educated, we sleep so that the body can have rest, we have eyes to see, hands to do work, legs to walk, mouth to talk, the sun for heat and life, night for rest. All these things are controlled by the Almighty Creator which without Him there won’t be life. How then do people think that they are just here for fun? The earlier we awaken to the truth, the better it will help us in our journey.
Truly life is a school, the lessons here are for our journey back home, but a lot of people have held on to the things of the world that it has become difficult for such to return home. The various haunted homes are cases of spirits who have not been able to find their way back home, thereby becoming trapped on planet earth. This should not be the case, at death a spirit should be able to ascend back to his home paradise having acquired the necessary lessons essential for him/her. Just like a student who has passed all his/her exams and graduates out of the school, but the stubborn ones will stay back and keep repeating the class until he/she is finally decides to graduate or be thrown out.
In recognition of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, the date 25th of December which is actually close to the true date of the birth of Jesus Christ was set aside. Our attitude towards the Almighty is no different today. Now the door is still open for those who are willing to come and take part in the feast of redemption, a time will come when it will be closed. Man controls his/her actions but God control Time and Reward. As you celebrate this Christmas, think and ponder on your Journey so far, are you on the right track or have you missed your route. It is never late for a willing soul. Remember it was out of love, that Christ left his thrown to open the life gate that all may go in. Show love this season. MERRY Christmas AND BE BLESSED.
