In the Bay Area of California, I'd say that 60 or 70% of people don't care about COVID. They wear masks where required (mostly) and many got vaccinated because they had to for work, but otherwise they are living their lives normally.

You see a few people wearing a mask when driving their car solo, but that is definitely the exception here. Only the rabid CNN viewers worry about COVID on a daily basis - there are parties and weddings and reunions all the time, with few masks, and no one cares.

What these ones stuck on the Government advisories need to understand is that the C. D. C made mention around the same time the mask mandate in my state expired (Pennsylvania) that:

1. The masks served NO PURPOSE whatsoever. They said they didn't do A THING they thought or had hoped they would.
2. They treated Corona as a "Virus", which it is NOT
3. They overreacted when they advised the Government to enforce the six foot principle.

So to those who have friends or family who are sticking by the above three factors, despite the fact they lacked effectiveness, are not worth dealing with during the Holidays. Just start doing things w/o them, and when they ask when you will meet up again, ask them when they are going to let up on the Corona business.

People who won't let me into their home without a vax are not friends. Some of our former friends have faded into self imposed oblivion.
Fortunately, my wife and I have plenty of friends, including many new ones, who have retained their humanity. We have been celebrating with groups of unmasked, unmuzzled, unvaccinated and unafraid people, and with some who have gotten the shot (s), all along. Not one single person has gotten sick.

I know two people who died of J&J. We nicknamed it the Clot Shot. Both were young ladies. One was 28 and 35. The CDC records the deaths, but you have to really dig into their website to find the report. I have not checked. John Oliver reported it on his comedy news show as well. I think we are up to around 4,500 or so deaths from vaccines. Most are J&J. And the people research say the likely died of other reasons. But you will never hear about this in the news. If people heard, they would avoid the vaccines all together.
