The problem is hospitals are not clean or efficient places in the best of times. Add a pandemic and SHTF pretty quickly.

Even during covid, you had many cancer and minor illness people dying. Mainly due to being unable to get access to medical services filling with covid, and partying fuckwits.

So, it's not a simple matter of sneering like a fucking ignorant prick at new potential pandemics. But understanding that the pharma and medical sectors have to be proactive more than reactive. But the world is such a tight knit place that a new disease in one place can rapidly fuck up all others before they get a chance to react. Let alone prepare.

It's a disease of babies and toddlers. Almost everyone get it as children. If your babies got a runny nose it's probably rsv. There was a report in local press that kids were catching it than later than usual because of the covid restrictions.

No. We should obviously be aware of RSV but it’s a common virus that most of us have already had and is less serious than either flu or Covid. The media likes having something to talk about though.
