I like Halloween in the sense I like spooky stuff.
I just got done handing out candy and let me tell you, no thank yous, I said you may take two they grab handfuls.. their parents just stood and watched. I literally told a 7 year old girl you may take 2 , she grabbed 3, 4 , I said sorry thats enough let's leave some for the other kids. She laughed and kept grabbing candy I then grabbed the bowl and stood up saying sorry that's enough only then her mother said something.
But only maybe 3 kids say thank you. Happy Halloween without being prompted by their parents that's with teens coming too.
Parents let their kids destroy my decorations too I had to keep telling them to stop playing with the fake fire and ripping the tombstones out of the ground so no I hate trick or treaters in that sense now and days. When I was handing out candy in high school (2012 ish) kids were way better mannered than today.
Pirates don’t say thank you, matey!
It is my favorite for sure, dressing up in nice costumes is fun, going to parties is fun too.
Beats the hell out of the next holiday, which is to me a pig out and get fat holiday, at least in the US.
Sitting around talking and not doing anything is pretty boring too.
Christmas is okay but most holidays suck.
Nah, Thanksgiving is my favorite with Christmas being second. Halloween I don't celebrate or partake in much anymore, at least until this past weekend.
This time me amd my girl went as Call of Duty characters. I went as Ghost, she went as Nyx.
Nyx is the deity of darkness? I like Thanksgiving. Alhamdulillah for the first-grade oxygen!
@HippieVeganJewslim I believe you and I have different understandings of which Nyx we are talking about.
I am referring Nyx the Call of Duty mobile character.

Looks like We rapped about different Nyxes. I don’t watch/read/play Call of Duty, so I wouldn’t know.
Halloween is not a holiday. It is not recognized as one. But yes its one of my favorite days of the year.
It's a holiday and is recognized by ME.
Recognised by WHOM? Pretty much every day is a holiday, but your calendar observes only some. Shabbat is a holiday. Eid al-Adha is a holiday. Does Yankeeland observe them?

I hate Halloween 😂 It's my absolute least favorite holiday. I wish it didn't exist. I hate everything about it.
It's in the worst season of the year, the costumes and decorations smell horrendous, and I'm obligated to spend money on candy that I don't even get to eat, AND I have to socialize with children who intentionally make themselves look disgusting and wear the nasty-smelling costumes.
I dressed up as Harry Potter, Professor Dumbledore, a stereotypical hippie, pink Floyd (I dressed in pink and called myself Floyd), a pirate, a samurai, and I reckon more of homemade costumes in the past. None of those smelt bad or were disgusting. Hallowe’en costumes don’t need to be scary.
I agree about the candy, though. Candy is seldom fruits, and who in their sane minds would accept raisins, dried figs or dates? You don’t have to pass out candy. I’ll give You permission not to!
Halloween is my favorite holiday because it's the one day a year you can get free candy and wear a costume without being looked at like you've totally lost your mind 😂
I was forced to remove the shawl I wore around my head yesterday, shiver me timbers! Does Spain even observe it?
nope, not even close to have the best food of all... lol
I don't really care about Halloween. My favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Easter when family gets together
I hate Halloween I don’t even celebrate it because I’m Christina and my family don’t want to do that. I’m not even supposed to watch scary movies but I like those
Christian **
@suzzieQ Christmas used to be called Saturnalia, celebrated on Midwinter’s Day. Saturn is the Roman god of time. It doesn’t mention in the Bible when Jesus (peace and blessings upon Him) was born. Easter was a pagan holiday celebrating the goddess of spring. The holiday celebrating the resurrection of Christ is called Paskha or something similar in many languages. Paskha came from Pesakh, the Hebrew holiday of their Passover.
@HippieVeganJewslim Thanks captain obvious...
I don’t celebrate Halloween, I find it irrelevant.
One of them but I love Christmas and Valentine’s Day too
When I was younger I was more into it, now being 64, not as much; but I still like Autumn, with the leaves changing and all.
i dont celebrate it
No candy for you.
Only in America could they celebrate something so goofy.
Don’t they celebrate Hallowe’en in UK? It does mention it in Harry Potter!
For me it is Christmas time!! :)
Which Christmas? Jesus was probably born in the summer. Many Christians celebrate it near midwinter’s day, 25 December or 7 January.
I don't mind Halloween but I wouldn't say I love it by any means
I'm indifferent towards it. Its a day like any other day.
No, I don't celebrate it.
All Saints / All Souls Day
No. It's boring.
Definitely, by a long shot.
it does nothing for me at all
Dumb holiday
All that candy bro
Its a tie between Halloween and Christmas.
No. I can’t really celebrate any holidays.
@suzzieQ how? Last time, my sister and Her boyfriend baked hamantaschen for my birthday, and that’s the closest to a holiday celebration that took place. I remember how my mum let me light a hanukkiah for Hanukkah but then stopped somewhere in the middle, when she found out I was praying. My mum is a huge antireligious woman.
Maybe New Year (we do it the Russian way, similar to western Christmas) and Yankee Thanksgiving, but that’s about it.
@suzzieQ I did previously because the people around me did and I knew not about that fact. Now, I don’t support putting candles on a cake and I give/receive gifts any day, but wish it to be Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. Just because some things pagans do are similar doesn’t mean we ourselves are pagans, oy vey! Why is Bat/Bar Mitzvah celebrated on 12th/13th BIRTHDAY? Ancient Romans cut their hair for military reasons, but many monotheists still cut their hair.
My favorite holiday is Christmas.
I'm tied between Halloween and Christmas
not really
