After reading about all the cancelled flights, blizzard deaths, no electricity, etc. can you share how you made out. Seems to me all this stuff would definitely throw a wrench into the works.
We did ok. We got stuck in the snow on the way to my parents' house on Christmas Eve.
All the roads were totally fine except for theirs 😂 My dad, uncle, and cousin had to come pull us out and the truck they used almost got stuck too.
I think the plow gave up halfway through plowing their street. We went from decent roads to being stuck in 2.5 feet of snow 😂
My parents were like, "Why did you drive on our road? It's impassable." We were going to THEIR house. One cannot get to their house without driving on THEIR road 😂😂😂
Things went well for us. The kids all got here safely before the storm and are still here. The snow missed us and luckily their travel plans were well before and after the mess of flight cancellations.
Didn't travel so we fared great. In fact, we cancelled my wife's trip to Arizona. Even if her plane had gotten off the ground, she would have been stuck in Chicago for a week.
good, quiet, went to my sister's house 5 miles away.
It was a bit cold, snowmaggedon missed us except for the wind and cold and 2 inches of snow.
