when I was driving home from work there were still plenty of houses decorated with lights and giant blowup Santas.
That's REALLY cool!! There's still quite a few lit up here, too!!
As my uncle was Serbian and his Christmas comes a week or two later, I tend to keep the decorations on/up until the middle of Jan. but, even if he wasn't, I'd still do so!! I like the way we did Christmas back in the `60's and `70's BEFORE everyone got severely plastic!!
NO decorations until at least the second week of Dec. The tree goes up a week/weekend before Christmas and stays up `til at least the second weekend in Jan.. For at least two weeks after Christmas, friends and family visit each other to see their decorations and the kids get to show off the toys they got.
As for radio, no Christmas music `til at least the first full week of Dec. and, even then, only a couple records per day. 2nd week of Dec. about 50% Christmas music. 3rd week, nearly all Christmas music. Week of: 24/7 Christmas music until at least the weekend before New Years. First full week of Jan. about 50% Christmas music. 2nd week, hardly any at all. 3rd week, done!

Not yet. We keep our holiday decorations up until 6-Jan, traditionally the end of the Christmas season. That's supposedly when the 3 Wide Men (Magi) arrived at Jesus' birthplace.
That means this weekend will be busy, taking everything down and carefully putting it all away until December.
I celebrated the holidays more on the days after New Years then on the actual New Year's Eve or Day. On the 2nd of January, my cousin took my family to a popular restaurant for New Year's Day dinner cause we got her $300 worth of gifts and she never paid us back. Then today on the 4th, we visited an indoor garden and I saw one of the most beautiful flower arrangements I had seen in years cause we had never gone first week of January before. I also had some Chinese noodles and Chinese fried rice after and I came up with new goals for the year too which I will keep a secret this time, cause they involve things like religion and business plans and health etc...
We put our decorations away on New Year's day while they were still dry and not under 6 inches of snow. 😁
I'm looking forward to Valentine's Day 💕

The Christmas season for us fish-eaters lasts until February 2nd. That means that I can keep up with my "Die Hard is a Christmas movie" shenanigans until then.
Over here yes. Sometimes it makes me sad that people take their lights down after Christmas, since it's lovely seeing all the lights in the cold when there isn't any snow & ice.

Stick a fork in it; it's done!
Yes, but those people tend to leave their lights up all year, until they rot and fall off. 😅😊

I still have Frosty the Snowman out

They never started for me. I didn't celebrate Christmas and I also didn't have a special decoration.
Where I live, most people don't take their decorations down till the Epiphany, which is on January 6 and marks also the end of the season
We also still have our lights up.. Probably will for another month or so.. But the holidays never really started for me this year..
12th night is Friday 5th January, that is when decorations come down and last day of Christmas.
