Did everyone get through the "holiday season" ok?

Tis a new year now. Most of the family/ritual crap is over by now and we all know it can be a trying time. Old arguments can be reignited, new ones can start and the general awkwardness and stress of the whole thing can take its toll. The current economic situation wouldn't have helped. Hope you got through it and this year will be an improvement over the last.

Any entertaining disputes anyone wants to air?

We are doing our Christmas tonight, so not over yet

Why?

Its our tradition, it started when family were in the army, because they couldn't be home Christmas day. So we pushed it back to New Years Eve.

Been doing for at least 20 years now

Oh I see. Yeah I don't know why absolutely everyone has to do it on the same day. I'm trying to push the Christmas in July thing with my family. It's a tough sell but it would just be so much better.
