How are you surviving the holiday season?

I forget how frantic and stressful it can be

I am surviving. K still has her issues with her ankle but can get around. I actually worry about the ice this time of year. All we need is another mishap with another part of her body. Other than that we had a nice Thanksgiving. We did both my family's and then hers. That was a lot of the same food in one day. I don't have muc between now and Christmas other than work which is pretty sporadic right now. I am told by a lot of the clerks for the courts and attorneys the whole court system slows to a grind between holidays. I can kind of tell. I have random days where I have very little to do. That is nice but I am also not being paid. We do have a big Christmas gathering at my parent's house with lots of extended family that comes to town. Luckily I get to go home at the end of the evening rather than deal with the houseful of crazy like when I lived at home.

Definitely need to be careful with the ice. My sister had a bad injury a few years ago. I hope you at least get to enjoy the downtime with no work and that you all have a great Christmas

About the only thing with a decent tread that is not a sneaker she can wedge her special brace into. They are cute boots. Get her all bundled up and boots on and give her a smack on her butt and out the door to work she goes.

Same as the past 6 years or better: it's just another day of the week. The most I do is watch my fave Christmas movies in hopes of at least getting into the spirit but, it's just not so "fun" when there's nobody around to watch them with and, when I wake up Christmas morning, there's no presents, no expectations of spending the day with someone and it's no different from any other day of the year. Dinner is just a couple sandwiches or ramen noodles or hamburgers.

We always get most of th shopping done before Thanksgiving. We put up all the decorations last weekend after Thanksgiving. I give final exams next week and then I am on vacation.
