I was reading about recording artist Jerry Lee Lewis and his wife and apparently young Myra still believed in Santa on their wedding night.

2. She was his first cousin, twice removed. First cousin marriages are quite common - and legal - in much of the world, and she was his first cousin, twice removed, and that marriage would be legal anywhere.

3. She was 13 years old at the time of the marriage. At that same time, Elvis was dating 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu, who he later married, and nobody gave Elvis a ration of shit about that. In 1957, the legal age for a female to marry in Mississippi was 12 years old. It was a different world back then.

4. Jerry Lee Lewis was not yet divorced from his second wife when he married Myra. They later married after his second divorce became final.

I've always felt Santa is as real as you want him to be. As a child you believe in the magic and as a parent you give a different kind of "truth" to children.

If you're not able to believe in the idea of Santa it's not a deal breaker, but we'd need to have a talk and you'd need to spell out your childhood trauma in small words so I can understand it

I've always felt that Santa is fun to believe in as a cbild. That said he is not real at all and there is no way to make him real. You can't will Santa into any type of reality or existence. What you can do is make up a story about him to your kids to build an illusion around this magical being and that's it. It's a fun thing while it lasts. I feel so bah humbug right now but I don't mean to. Your thought is not at all possible. You can love the idea and have fun with it but you can't say he is real as long as you want him to be. Lol

Saint Nicholas - bastardised into Santa Claus by poor pronunciation - was a historical figure who was found out after dropping small bags of gold down a chimney to gift a dowry to a peasant so his daughters could marry.

No clue where the concept of flying reindeer came from since he was a Greek bishop, but the whole chimney bit was originally real and he was honoured by gifts placed around the hearth as a way to teach generosity of spirit to children.

Lol I get why you're calling me Ebineezer. I am not saying you should ruin Santa for kids everywhere but I am saying no matter how hard you want something there's no making him real. Regarding St. Nicholas you know he's didn't have flying reindeer and elves and can't see if you're naughty or good. You could say this kind person WAS real. He isn't anymore. You do see im being very literal. I only was replying to you can't make him real. St Nicholas isn't Santa. Santa was created and inspired by St Nicholas.

I know you know he isn't real and I know it's ok and fun to do these things for kids. It's so much more fun when you believe. It's good to realize it is isn't and pass it along. Have a Merry Christmas
