The Holidahs for me are between Halloween and New Years. I guess technically the holidays go until Jan 7th

Ok so this is purely a guess but that 2023 recap is probably a plugin for the holiday theme since it has to do with New Years - holiday - etc. I am guessing they want to give enough time for users that haven't had a chance yet to see their recap to do so. That is the only thing I can think of. I did like that recap thing they put up. Pretty cool in my opinion.

I grew up in a city where half the people were Orthodox. I'm used to two Christmas celebrations :D So the tree goes out after the 12th of January
