Veggie salad:
- Cooked veggies like potatoes, carrots, celeriac, parsley root, hard boiled eggs, peas, mayonnaise, sour cream.
or Potato gratin:
- potatoes, onions, garlic, smoked ham, mozzarella, baked together with cheese crust on the top.

I definitely think the mashed potatoes taste the best, but if you mean healthy dessert, I like marinated scallop the most. I usually only have 1-2 because the big ones are expensive.

Homemade cranberry sauce, but too much kicks up my gout. A flavorful stuffing - whether or not there is turkey- is always nice. Certain salads- potato salad, homemade macaroni salad (yes, OAW, Southern style with mustard), and mac and cheese for a comfort food. Are cookies a "side dish"? Some of them, too, please.
