How do break a witchcraft course with Bible scriptures?

If your a Christian you will understand what I am talking about. Ok so not so long ago during Christmas Eve I had friends and guest coming over. My 19 year old nephew decided he wanted to watch horror movie on my Netflix account without my permission. Mind you I had no idea I was in the kitchen preparing everything for Christmas dinner. My home is very peaceful guest very often tell me how peaceful my home feels When I walk in the family room I was too late my nephew was half way almost done watching this demonic movie. My husband and I we are very angry and upset about this our kids are now constantly telling us they're scare and weird things happening ever since and our pastor and his team are out of town over the holidays so we had to wait in few weeks until they came back to town. The movie had witch craft and spurcery scenes. This very upsetting if your just a regular person I know you won't understand but if your a Christian please share some advice. Thank you 🙏

I am a Christian. I don't know if what I will say helps, but here goes:

I've been through a lot now, like every other adult at this point in life. We reach a place where we realize that we have the choice to live our life in fear, or with love. We can't control what happens in life, but we can control our response to it. Your nephew likely doesn't understand what the fuss is about, and really has no way to make it right. All he know is that the relationship is all messed up because he sat down to watch a movie. That's what I'd be wanting to get right. I'd want him to know I overreacted and I love him. Then I'd low-key set any boundaries I needed to set.

What I am curious about is this: Do you allow a single movie the power to make or break your relationships with people you love? Do you allow it the power to terrorize you? Our minds are very powerful and cause us to have anxieties that we don't need to have, depending on our social conditioning. If our God has been preached and praised within the walls of our homes, do you honestly and truly believe that a single secular film stands a chance against the love within that home? If one film is all it takes for a Christian home to be overrun by the powers of darkness, that gives way more credit to the devil than I'd be willing to give him!

As for the weird things happening, there's a phenomenon that occurs where if we think something is happening, situations arise that appear to support our hypothesis. It doesn't mean those things have anything to do with our fears, it just means we are on the lookout for anything that might be out of the ordinary because our defense systems are online. You may want to take that into consideration.

I think the real witchcraft isn't the film. I think it's the fear that you're allowing to run the show with this situation. I know that seems harsh, but as someone who lived in fear most of my life, I have a pretty good radar for when it's messing with people. Don't let fear mess with you, K? I wish you the best.
