Sooo I kinda like one of my brothers friends and a few months back I texted him saying I bought a book he suggested. He left me on read but followed me back on Instagram a week later. Would it be weird if I texted him happy new year?

that's creepy. don't talk to your brother's friend (s). he knows you like him and he thinks it is creepy, or lives by the code. that code is you don't fuck your friends sister or family members. i think you even know this is wrong or you'd have already told your brother and had a conversation about it with him.
