The best part about Christmas is, you might not celebrate Christmas, but with all the parties going on, why not just join the party scene anyway.
Also if you're lucky enough to meet the love of your life, you might receive a Christmas present too!
And if Christmas turns out unlucky for you, never mind there's always the New Year parties to celebrate, and be given a second chance to find your partner, while in the party mood.

I don't think there is any specific time that is better or worse to meet someone - it's all going to depend on the circumstances. But it's good to take advantage of any opportunity to meet people if you are single. That's all you can do. Whether it works out or not is more random chance than anything, but the more people you meet, the better your chances.

No. It's two people riding on a three-month high (like summer flings). They end in crummy breakups by Valentine's day. One or both of them is typically nuts. I try to meet someone in "transitional" times of the year (the Fall or Spring). Holiday season is high-pressure family time and dating/flirting is a semi-festive escape from the reality of being alone. And summer... I blame the outfits... we're only human.

I met my husband for the first time in February actually lol. I don't think I've ever met a romantic partner in December. I can see why having increased social events would make it easier to find someone. The only problem with the Christmas season is with all the pressure mixed with the least amount of sun it can be hard to loosen up enough to find a partner

On one side you have the festivities and all that fun and jolliness. On the other hand, you have all the preparation, clean-up, travel logistics, etc. . If you find someone who can deal with both successfully, you have found a keeper.
