@shessoheavy Oh, you misunderstand. I meant you. If there were an asexual gene, it would have been bred out a long, long time ago... because asexuals wouldn't have sex. Not to mention it is wholly unnatural for an animal to lack sexual desire. It's either the result of psychological trauma, physiological illness, or self-defense/rationalization. E. g. "I can't get laid, so I will pretend like I'm not sexually attracted to anyone." There is no asexual *orientation*. If a person lacks sexual attraction, then there is something physically or mentally wrong with them. And just in case you try to bring it up, like "That's what they said about gays" homosexuality is entirely normal and pervasive in the animal world. Lack of a desire to mate is not, unless there is some kind of illness behind it.

Like i said. If it's observed in the animal world, it's due to some kind of illness. Depressed animals won't have a sex drive. That's different from an orientation. It even says so in your own link. "Understudied and misunderstood." She's a damn writer. Not a scientist. Some random bitch's personal anecdotes hardly prove anything. And it's obvious that sexuality isn't an orientation. It's an illness. An illness I wouldn't mind having, but an illness nonetheless.

I do agree with you Big Pharma though, although asexuality is mentioned in the DSM as an exception to the rule as it relates to HSDD, hypo sexual desire disorder. Where someone experiences an lack of libido that they find distressing. As where Asexuals don't experience sexual attraction and don't find that distressing in of itself. So in that case the asexual person would not get prescribed. But ya if big Pharma had their way the whole country would be on prescription drugs.

You do need studies to disprove, if there are studies that prove. That reverses the burden of proof. Maybe it does not make sense to you, but it does to some people. If a straight guy can not be sexually attracted to men, and gay guy can not be sexually attracted to women, they why can't a guy not be sexually attracted to either. It is really not that complicated

Even the writers admitted that the only reason he "disproved" asexuality in the episode was because "it would not fit house's character the other way around". The "asexual" guy in the show had problems with his libido, which is not asexuality anyway.

We don't find people sexy, with that said I can still fill a sperm bank. You are confusing sexual desire and sexual attraction; a lack of experiencing sexual attraction is what defines asexuality. So, what exactly are you saying is wrong with me. I can get it up, I can fire it off. I don't think about sex, and if and when I try to and can't fire it off. I don't find this problematic either. I am just asexual, and that is all there is to it. In the real world unlike in house, asexuality is not a problem and thus does not have a solution. Asexual people that attempt to "cure" themselves in the medical and psychological fields are unsuccessful.
