None of that is impressive, but everybody likes something different. Besides, what we think we know and what we actually know are two different things. He may very well be a good guy but nobody is perfect and if we layed out all his flaws, I doubt he would still meet the standard for husband material. See, everybody likes the person that's perfect but nobody wants the person that's flawed and that's why people don't last. A person should be admirered for all of who they are, not just for what looks good on paper.

The best mma fighters are not the best at bjj it Muay Thai or boxing or Greco Roman wrestling but they’re the best jack of all trades and the best at integrating them. I’d suggest it’s -currently- tougher to be at the top in boxing. That may or may not be true in 20 years.

I will give an example. I love hockey - I’m Canadian! Millions of people play hockey. The best are incredible. But it’s not actually the same as being for instance the fastest sprinter in the world. Everywhere people try to run fast. If some freakishly fast kid is running anywhere - he might be discovered and become a sprinter. Usain bolt probably really was the fastest on the planet. As for how it is hardcore, let me put it this way: they expect you to understand everything that you learn. The stuff is the same calculus you learn, but the key words are *everything*, and *understand*. If you don't spend the time and effort to understand the theory, and just perform the practice, they look down on you. My maths teacher used to say "even a horse can be taught to integrate and dericate", so that should give you the idea of what it's like. And since exams are both written and oral, at some. point, it will come out if you don't quite get the background of something.

I know this sounds pretty standards, but a friend of mine studying engineering in Glasgow almost choked on his beer when I showed him one of my calculus exams.
Oh, and the failure rate on exams is arounda 50-60%
