How long does it take to find the right person to be engaged/married to?

These things do not happen on a schedule. I had a long term relationship that I thought would end up with us getting married but the whole time I had doubts about it. Finally I broke up with her. I was 22 and we were together for 4 years. I met my future wife at 24 and I knew in about a month that we were going to get married and a year or so later we were.

Each case is different, it's often about timing and luck and other unmentionable factors depending on criteria.
Like some might never find the right person, while others get married in their early twenties.

In my opinion? I think it probably takes, on average, going through about 200-250 prospects, and dating (and I mean seriously dating) somewhere between 5 to 15 people, before you get to the right one.
