I would say there are two reasons divorce is higher - one is that humans have been corrupted by materialism and have lost their character and humility and work ethic and respect so that nobody wants to stay married to them and the other is that people are choosing to date and marry based on lust and not on personal compatibility. Over the last 70 years, men have become more interested in beauty and less interested in health and personality and this is proven in surveys.
In west they are most common id say not everywhere... and id say a few things bout it
The thing that the girl gets half or money or property of the man... so it is either on the greed basis... if not that way then the other is it is easy for them to see good life even without her husband and it becomes easy to think of getting rid of instead of working on things
And the government n law supporting women even when she iss not right just bec u wana set example of women rights n standing for women... its good to do so but not at the cost of setting someone as wrong who isn't wrong

I think that nowadays people majoraty or some people get married impulsively in what they are feeling at that moment or for value and advantage or others such as wealth etc...
But then their feelings might go away qt some point and instead of fighting for the decision they made mowt give up and think that there's no other option because when thinking about society now days its complicated as most teens and young people cheat a lot and prefer being single rather than stuck with one person only , that's my opinion on ur question.

I think because people forgot how hard relationships are and how much work it takes to make any kind of relationship to work marriage friendship so divorce is kind of the easy way out and let you know you’ve tried everything and it’s just not a healthy relationship anymore. But I think you need to try and work it out if at all possible before going to What song is like I said it’s a toxic situation and abuse is involved
It's perhaps more common because people have more choice. Women are better able to support themselves so they aren't trapped in an abusive marriage as they once were. Also the creation of "no-fault" divorce makes it easier to exit a bad marriage. Now marriage is just a legal state, and both parties have to agree to continue.
Because it is easy and no longer stigmatized, I won't complain those wedding bands keep my wallet loaded
