What kind of a person leaves their spouse to die?

OK guys and gals I was listening to the radio the other day and There was a story so this guy came down with MRSA And it's on his leg. Apparently he'd been to the emergency department 3 or 4 times and never diagnosed they just kept sitting in the home with the same story Elevate your leg Put ice packs on and take ibuprofen for swelling. So you went to a doctor to get a second opinion Nathaniel and they did the mrsa What's come back positive. This poor guy is now for remember right a week and a 1/2 into this and his leg is huge huge doubled size of the other leg. At this point At this point He's being told that his blood is going septic dubbed it or it's getting really close to that so his wife and they said Something about doing surgery So he calls his wife and kids and told them they come down of course only one visitor Because a covid rules so his wife comes back to visit which means that this point is children cannot N Now here comes the part that kind of got me His blood is about to go septic which means he's probably gonna die from this And he was waiting on a surgeon to see if his knee needed operated on to see if that would help. Now his wife course she has to work the next day she goes home and this is 3 o'clock in the afternoon And leaves him there by himself Basically they're on his death bed and then she calls in on the show And the radio guy asked how much she loved him and she said she loved him heart and soul now I'm with the radio show host In asking who loves that way Is that a normal love? Do you just leave the hospital when your spouse is dying? Anyway thought I'd find out where your guy says opinion is on this if it makes any sense to you I'm driving down the road going to work so it may not have come out real clerics as talk to text Anyway have a great day Guys

ICU nurse here. My patients are never in good shape if they are with me. I can chime in a bit here.

If I or the physician is worried that the patient doesn't have long, we will be damn sure to notify the patient's family. Obviously, due to COVID, we allow only 1 member into the ICU but we want to give that chance to the family.

But there is nothing wrong with leaving your loved one at the hospital for a short time. That's what we are for.

In this case, sepsis is dangerous but it is treatable.

Thank you for your point of view... sometimes its difficult to understand a situation only seeing or hearing about it from a distance. That's what I love about this site I see it all different now. thank you

I wouldn't want my wife to see me like that and would probably tell her to go away and remind her to take care of herself and fallow the rules I set out for her coz they are in place for her health

and my wife being the workaholic she is would dive into her work to avoid thinking about it

She has a family to support. The kids can be there. We know not the particulars, such as what was said or expected, amongst the Family. Given this, one should be careful not to assume and jump to an unwarranted conclusion. I am without judgment at this time.
