In matters of spirituality (we're Catholic), I'm priest, prophet, and king of my family. My wife knows and respects this. For my part, I love and cherish her as I ought to and as she wants to be.

In general though, she appreciates when I assert myself, especially if our son acts up or if she gets stressed out. She appreciates that I'm a consistent and stabilizing presence.

My wife set and makes most of the plans, that is ok with me. Women don't always wear the pants, it just that men can't be bother, with some of the bulkshit, so they just let their wofe picking things. It really should be 50/50. Plus women start to treat there husband sometimes Like another kid, so the guy doesn't care because his life is easier that way.

When it comes to things like weddings , baby showers, anniversaries, remembering peoples birthdays and knowing the entire family tree and life stories of a relatives I haven't seen in 10 years, Women. Women rule that social planning domain that men rather not be bothered with. Since a lot of events are social they take over a lot of the "dealing with people" parts of the marriage.

Its maybe because men are like childs we never grow up😀. Women in relationship are always grown up. Thats why women wears the pants, they plan everything for the what needs to be doing but men dont. But its much better if the women wears the pants at home, relationships will stand longer.

In our case, I make a number of options I find acceptable (let's say, where to go have dinner) and she chooses which one she wants. Unless she comes up with a better option which she sometimes does.
