Its certainly not something that is a giant big wish for me , its possible that could change but highly unlikely , when you have been around as long as I have you become rather cynical about such unions..

So I wouldn’t say I’m invested but I’d like to have a husband. I have some guys that show interest, but I don't know honestly. I have a major crush on this guy. We haven’t seen each other in two months and we haven’t texted in 3 weeks. He does have a busy job and I do need to interview him for it so I will make that call today and I know he’s going to pick up and answer these questions. I can already hear what he is going to say. But in person it seemed like he was interested based on how nervous he got, always willing to help me, body language and clumsy. He’s not the best texter which is fine as I’m not either but I feel like I need to ask him out otherwise I’d be kicking myself that I never did. We will see though. I need to make a couple calls and he will probably be the last call ☺️ I’m hopeful but I did make a pack with my long time best male friend. If we both aren’t married by 30 we are just going to marry each other.

I voted B. Marriage isn't the primary goal, though. Avoiding divorce is the primary goal. If I don't get married, I may miss out on happiness, but I will also miss out on trauma. Which is a good thing. I don't need additional trauma in my life. I've had enough already.

What makes you think that I view her as the "bad guy"?
I can't see that I've said anything negative about her in this question.
I talk about our marriage in other questions that you may have seen.
I try to be as kind to her as I can when talking about us, yet I do have resentments about the entire situation, but not all directed towards her.
I also resent my own actions that have led to our current situation.
I may fall short of the goal of kindness towards her sometimes.
God forgive me.

I could write a novel describing the last 30+ years.

I think that we tolerate each other as best we can and try to make the best of what we have with each other.
So, yes, she feels the same as I do.
We're 64 years old now.
Our priorities have changed over time.
We've gotten used to things being as they are.
It's very, very complicated.
Unbelievably complicated.
We had a child to raise, unwanted by me, truth be told, at the time of his birth as well as now, but I love him dearly.
Imagine that if you can, to have a child that you didn't want, but parental love causes you to have such terrible internal conflict.
I've tried my very best to be the best dad to him that I could, but we have never had any connection at all, ever.
He barely acknowledges my existence.
I still love him.
He may somehow sense that he was unwanted by me, although I've always strived to make him feel loved, which he is.
What is a 64-year-old man supposed to do with those kinds of emotions and situations?
He is now 25, very successful, and just moved to his own place.

Remarkably, since our son moved out, things have been slightly better with my wife.
I did tell her that I intend to pursue sex elsewhere if she was not going to have sex with me.
She says that she's fine with that, so I now have an open marriage.
Time will tell whether I take advantage of that situation.

I will say that I was a 35-year-old confirmed bachelor when my wife entered my life, stuck her "foot" in my door, and pursued me relentlessly until I caved to her.
I'm a big boy now, and I was a big boy 30 years ago.
I shouldn't have allowed what happened to happen.
I'm every bit as much of a "bad guy" as I might sometimes portray her to be.

She's a good woman.
We just shouldn't have gotten together.
I should have remained a bachelor as I originally intended.

I'm told that such marriages are very common, but I'm the one guy that's talking about it openly.
That's one of the things that I like about G@G.
I can tell my stories and get feedback from others.
Sometimes I'm met with viciousness towards myself from other G@G people.
Sometimes I'm met with curiosity, such as you've done.
I welcome such dialogue.

Putting my thoughts and feelings in print here for others to see helps me process and better handle that which is my life.

Many people tell me to get the hell away from my marriage and live my life.
It's not that simple of a thing to do, especially at 64 years old with failing health.
