Is it selfish for a husband and wife to decide not to have kids?

Not at all. In a world that we are living in right now. It is the most Selfless decision both husband and wife can ever make. Just look around, there is not one single nation that is sane or human friendly anymore. Everyone is either trying kill their population (including kids) and if you were lucky to have children, ones they grow up, they won't be yours, they will be a property of a government.

Nope. They can still be active with children in the community. Can still be aunt and uncle. Can still adopt or volunteer. They are not required to create life.

The only things children will benefit you is when you are older, all your friends are dead and then your partner, at least you will have kids. But if you don't mind being a lonely old person what should it matter?
