Clarification needed about relationship status?

There is this guy I am interested in. Found a questionable photo on his FB profile page. There is this female he is sitting next to quite close. She has a gold ring on her left hand middle finger. She is Chinese.

Just need a clarification if this means she is engaged or married also taking into consideration her culture.

You are so insecure about this woman that you have made up scenarios in your head to the point where you can’t simply ask about her to him. And honestly , what difference would it make if she’s married or not? On what level would that change your interest level towards him? If you aren’t trusting what you are seeing , that’s a red flag situation

Hmm that's a weird situation. With the Chinese culture thing I'm not totally sure what the ring means exactly. A few things you could do:

- Ask some of your Chinese friends if they know the deal with rings on that finger in their culture. Maybe it doesn't necessarily mean engaged/married.

- Take a closer look at the photo- are they acting super couple-y? Hugging, kissing etc or just sitting close could mean they're just friends.

- Try finding more photos of them together on social media - if it's really recent pics of them acting all lovey dovey then maybe she's his girl.

- You could even ask him straight up! Say you were browsing FB and saw the photo, ask who she is in a casual way. Watch his reaction, if he gets weird or defensive then maybe there's something there.

Tough situation without more context. I'd do a little investigating first before jumping to conclusions. Could be innocent or could mean he's not really single, hard to say for sure from just one photo. Let me know what else you find out!
