Why most westerner think marriage is outdated?

You can love without it..
You can live together, have children etc etc without the marriage paper.
It's not parents selling their kids off anymore.
Marriage is now a luxury you CAN do, if you want to.

Obviously there's extra nutty delusional people like the religious who put more weight on it. But they also believe in fictional god so.

It's not that marriage is outdated, it's just too risky for men now, and the juice is no longer worth the squeeze. Half of marriages end in divorce, women initiate 80% of them, and the court system allows women to take full advantage of men in divorce, and they usually do. Why would a man choose to subject himself to that?

A good marriage is great for both the man and the woman, but a marriage that ends in divorce benefits women and harms men. That's the bottom line.

It is mostly brainwashing and insecure men that have little to offer that think that way. There were 127,161 marriages registered here in Australia in 2022, the highest number on record.

Does it make me richer? Not really.

Will it make me live longer? Not really.

Will it stop divorces or infidelity? Probably not.

In all, it is a waste of time and money.

We've seen enough married people behave like they were single, be completely miserable in a marriage, and the world has changed a lot in 100 years. Many of the things that made marriage successful in the past don't ring true today
