Girls, do you think a woman should remarry after the death of her husband?

This is one of my relatives and she is 58. I told her she had better find a new hubby for her emotional/sexual needs and to overcome the "hurdles" in life together. Plus it will help her build a new life after the loss and that helps for her mental health too going forward..

My auntie husband died many years ago now and she never dated anyone else. She had male friends to laugh and have fun with especially since she was in home health. I always ask her if she ever get lonely and she says no. She says she married the man she wanted in life

As a widow at 40 now 43… I would say you pushing that on her is insensitive. Ouch. I know it comes with good intentions but there is enough going on in our heads in minds let alone someone.. family or not putting the pressure on. When widow (ers) lose their partner they need loads of time to process… more than anyone thinks. It’s so devastating to the whole system and life. Just be there for her, invite her to things call her n check in… in the right time she may or may not get married.

Plus you wanna make sure the next partner is super fantastic, and those are hard to come by. Patience n love!

she doesn't need to find a new husband. she can get by just fine. let her grieve, sheesh. as for the sexual needs. get a damn dildo. she can get on just fine with the "hurdles" of life.

now as time goes on and she heals from her ex husband, yeah she can get remarried if she WANTS to. but it's not a requirement.

You can find a new boyfriend at any age, I know a woman who is 72 who just started dating 3 months ago and is happier than she has been in a long time. It doesn't matter if you are 16 or 90 courting is a good thing (: in my opinion

Yes, from psychological standpoint it's beneficiary but most women don't want because they have children and grandchildren they can focus on. Sometimes the death of a spouse especially after long illness, leaves some kind of trauma...

It's perfectly fine if she does, but I don't think it's a matter of whether she should. If she finds someone else she wants to spend her life with and they both decide to get married, then they should.

My parents divorced when I was a child. My father later got married. My mother has never been married, and for the last 3 years, she has lived with my aunt and her little daughter. My aunt is a woman divorced from her husband. My mother and aunt don't like being alone, but I wouldn't say I like living with anyone.

I guess this is a very personal situation. Some people don't want to be alone, some want to be alone.
