No one should rush into marriage. It's a joke two strangers can meet in Nevada and be married at a drive-thru wedding chapel by an Elvis impersonator within 24 hours of the marriage license being issued.
I think the government should make both of those easy. Intelligent people should not be restricted just because the government feels the need to coddle idiots. Let the idiots deal with the consequences of their actions for all I care.

Harder to get married and harder to divorce. I don't think harder to divorce is really possible but penalties would be good for an at fault partner.

It should be harder to get married, and even harder to get divorced. And women should not be rewarded for and incentivised to get divorced the way they are today. The current situation, and the lack of character of today's women are destroying marriage.
