Is the reason for marriage, kids?

I know it isn't, there are other reasons. Yet, for you, would you marry if you wouldn't have kids?

Marriage is about Consumerism. Our Government created the marriage license. Notice the Bible says nothing about a marriage license. This is why people don't want Governments messing around with Religion.

The Marriage license is a financial Contract between Husband and wife. It's about money. When you get married you buy the house and the car and you fill up your house with shit you don't need while the Government gets its taxes.

So basically if a girl wants to have kids. She has to find a guy that wants to have kids. He has to have a certain amount of money to have kids. Most women agree that when they finally find the guy that meets this criteria he is unlikely the type of guy they would have chosen to be with under other circumstances. But she is going to marry him anyway and have a kid.

So yes, Marriage is about Consumerism and Money and having a kid.

However, It is not about Love.

Love is a decision that you make that has nothing to do with money.

Love and marriage are completely opposite from one another,

I remember the incident with Senator John Edwards from the State of North Carolina. The Moment his wife got Cancer he was out the door with another women cheating on her while she was in the Hospital. I know many people that were married for many years and the same exact thing happened.

This is because our Government turned marriage into a business. when you turn marriage into a business, it is no longer about sickness and health and the moment you are sick or disabled, you are fired.

This is why many people are not interested marriage, it's not the institution that's in the Bible.

I did get married for no kids. Been married 36 years to same woman with no kids. Had a vasectomy so we wouldn't have kids. You don't have to get married to have kids, and you don't have to have kids to get married.

It's not a weird observation (as others said). When I was young I would not have kids without marriage.

Now I have my kids and my marriage ended I see no purpose in marriage for love.

If I'm with a guy and we are in love and he wants marriage then fair enough. But I have no need for it to be in a relationship. Even tho I hope my next relationship will be for rest of my life.

It's not just about kids I'm having fetility issues but from day one of it my husband has made it clear that it's okay if we end up not having kids because I was always on the fence of if I wanted one or not

I don't really like kids in general... probably due to trauma from being bullied a lot by other kids when I WAS one myself; so yes, I would marry if I didn't have kids, lol. 😅

Also, I feel your pain on people not reading everything, lol. Especially since you barely wrote anything. I could understand it if it was multiple long paragraphs, but it's literally just one extra sentence. 🤦‍♂️

The reason for marriage is Jesus. Its a foreshadow for when he comes and gets the church who is figuratively like a bride waiting for marriage. God is so artistic he uses these type of things to communicate without talking.

Yes. The purpose of marriage is to legally bind two people for the purpose of raising kids. If you don't want kids or don't want to commit to raising them together, my advice is that you never get married. To be honest, you can do all of the above without being married too. It is a $30,000 party that you can live happily without.

I think the original purpose of marriage is to try to ensure that children have two parents, so yes, it is for the children. Today that is not necessarily the case. For me, well, yes, marriage is primarily about taking care of the children.

I've always wanted kids, and that's one of the main reasons I want to get married. But if I'm  unable  to have children, I would still remain in the marriage, under normal circumstances that is.
