What do you hate about weddings?

What do you hate about weddings whether that's being a part of the wedding party or as a guest, or maybe both?

I saw the guests of the bride wearing matching high heeled shoes after the celebration, poising for photos with the bride and I have two medical conditions that lead to severe foot pain when I stand too long or wear high heeled shoes. I’m glad I do not have a big net work of close friends because I hate being obligated to attend destination weddings in other countries due to my fear of airplane turbulence and my unusual back shape which leads to discomfort on airplanes.

I think a lot of brides get so caught up in THEIR wedding that they forget that the bridesmaids are actual people. Luckily, the last one I was at, we were only "required" to wear heels for the ceremony but then for the reception, we could take them off. It was a good thing too because due to a last minute shipping era, my shoes were a size too big, and literally one fell off as I walked out, first in line and I had to drag it down the aisle a bit before I managed to flip it back on.

The only thing I think i would hate is finding what to wear because I'm mostly a blue jeans kind of girl with a mom aesthetic. I don't own a lot of dressy clothes because I don't normally wear them going out and, until recently, I worked from home so I could literally work in my pajamas so I don't have work outfits either.

I know the feeling. It can be frustrating too when it's some oddly specific dress code where you can't just wear the one formal dress you always do.

I am not a fan of being a part of the wedding party. Having to be part of so many photos gets to be a drag really fast. That and all the cost associated with being part of the wedding party. I get why some people say no when being asked to be a Bridesmaid or Groomsman.

100% Agree. Last wedding I was in I needed plane tickets, hotel and food for the week, rental car, 2 required dresses, hair, make-up costs, shoes, and a gift. I basically could not take a vacation that year because of it.
