Do you go all out for your spouse’s birthday? why or why not?

There’s been a lot of instances where one spouse goes all out for the other spouse’s birthday but the other spouse doesn’t do the same.

Depends on who I am with and how much she means to me and how loving and caring she is to me , some girls’ I been with wanted me to go all out for them and some didn’t , the ones that did , I would do my best , but if she didn’t do the same for me
, then going all out for her birthdays’ would definitely dwindle down lol but no matter what , I do try to make her day special best I can , especially if she does the same for me. Nowadays I prefer to be with a girl that is content that doesn’t have high expectations, people that have high expectations are setting themselves up for disaster , because they will eventually never be satisfied because they will always expect something better than the last time. So I no longer waste my time with girls’ that have high expectations whatsoever, Most of them don’t know what the concept of money is , they just blow it like it grows on trees , and when it runs out , it’s never their fault , it’s their partners’ fault for failing to meet their expectations. So I only date girls’ that are independent, that know how to provide for themselves , that want a guy to be a team partner with her , We work together to have nice things together , Girls’ that are users , are meant for the streets , not under my sheets 😂

My lady likes her birthday being recognized and remembered but as far as “ going all out “ that would be a hard NO !. Neither her or I enjoy this. We generally make plans around each others birthday to do something together to mark the occasion , sometimes involving family or friends. Spending time together is what’s most important to us.

I did (when I was married). And there’s always a special outing for any family member on their special day (or at least a good breakfast if they’re working, then an adventure on the weekend).

I resemble that remark. I have always gone all out for my wife's birthday. But her, not so much. She says she's not really the sentimental type. I get that, and I don't need her to go all out per se, but it would be nice if she did a little more sometimes.

I guess it depends on what you mean by all out, but neither of us want piles of gifts or huge parties etc, so I guess no. No due to lack of caring, it's just not what either of us are into.

For my ex I did wasn’t “good enough” we didn’t last long. He was miserable and verbally abusive.
