Was it inappropriate for another man to help put my shoes on when my husband ignored me?

Me and husband recently went to a friends wedding and once we got to party my feet started to hurt so I took my heels off to go on the dance floor and party. The whole time my husband just sat at the table chatting with people. he's not one to get up and dance at parties and is very shy and reserved and im not gonna force him to do something he ain't comfortable with i knew who was when I married him and I ain't gonna try and change him for that.

Later that night everyone was starting to leave and it was about time myself and husband did too. My husband ordered us an uber and whilst we were waiting he sat and chatted with some friends. I was trying to get my shoes back on but id had a little bit to drink and couldn't do the buckle.

I turned to look at my husband for help and kept calling him over but he was more interested in his conversation. One of the guys from the conversation saw i was struggling and said "for fuck sake" grabbed my leg and started doing my shoe's for me.

I was kinda taken by surprise and laughed and said thank you. His reply was "well he weren't helping you was he" referring to my husband.

My husband was still deep into this conversation to notice this guy was helping me get up and ready to go in the uber. Until he heard him make the comment about him not helping me. He replied "well she's a grown woman i expect her to know how to put her shoes on" .

The other guy just rolled his eyes and told us to get home safe before we got in the uber.

I was kinda pissed off with my husband but he was more interested in the conversation then even notice I needed a little bit of help to the point another man got that frustrated he came along instead.

My husband didn't seem jealous, embarrassed or apologetic at all. Like another man lifted your womens bare leg up and put shoes on her bare feet and you didn't think it was abit inappropriate

It would normally be an inappropriate thing for another man to do, but it only happened because of your husband's inattentiveness. It is surprising your husband didn't care about what happened and even worse that he couldn't be bothered to help you.

No, it's not wrong for him to have helped and your hubby SHOULD'VE done it! How hard can it be to help you with that, if you need it, and still converse with the others? Can he walk and chew bubblegum at the same time?
