I want her to take it back. Even if someone one gave her free decorations I wouldn't want them up. I like our to be sparse and plain looking.

The way I keep such things in check, I constantly question the functionality value. She'll want to buy abusrd shit that doesn't really serve any real function, and if it serves no real function, it is a waste of value, and the value is the money spent.
