1. 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮 [Acura]: 👑This one takes the crown as the
'MOST RELIABLE' car brand of all things from the
'developed' East Asian world. Hondas made in the 1980
s and 1990s are still on the road today even with over
500,000 original miles! 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧
𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. The Civic and
Accord both are still (to this day) very broadly marketed
to people in the 18-29 age range.

2. 𝗛𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗶 [Kia, Genesis, Ioniq]: Known for their 10
-year, 100,000-mile powertrian warranty, Hyundai is an
automaker of reliable cars. However, Hyundai and Kia
each DO NOT have a proper lineup; in fact, very few of
their cars can ever be considered "mass-market" (in
fact, they're almost more like the French and the
Germans). While most of their cars are considered
nearly fully-loaded at an entry price, the automaker has
unfortunately enabled the ridiculous inflation and awful
dealer markups on them.

3. 𝗡𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻 [Infiniti, Mitsubishi]: Who isn't surprised that
Nissan took third place in reliability? Contrary to the
fixed mindset of the Toyota folk, Nissan is known for
making very decent cars. Nissan may not be keen on
adding the newest technology into its cars, but its
"unofficial" imposed limited powertrain warranty lasts
three years more than Toyota's. Nissan has a
controlling stake in Mitsubishi; that brand's cars today
are massively underengineered.

4. 𝗧𝗼𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗮 [Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Suzuki]: Out of all
the four major automakers, Toyota is the one that
stands out as more "old-fashioned", strict-minded. The
Corolla, Prius, Camry, and Subaru last long, but come
with MANY maintenance issues. The modern trucks and
flagship cars are insanely overengineered. Mazda
remains the absolute last of the 'cool' relatives in this
family tree.

Strongly disagree on Hyundai and Nissan ahead of Toyota. Hyundai is only recently a contender for any solid reliability and Nissan has been plagued with transmission problems for decades.

Than I suggest you read more articles i been in the business of fixing cars for 30 years i wouldn't drive one of those cars if my life depended on it, extremely hard and expensive to fix and maintain
Most reliable, cheapest to fix and maintain and easiest to work on is a chevy truck

Go to you local Napa store and do a price comparison between Chevy parts and Toyota parts and the time it takes to get them, than do a comparison between how much labor is the time it takes to do a repair

I live in South Korea and even many Koreans don't like Hyundai's/Kia's (they'll still drive 'em, though). They really want American and German cars, like a Lexus, but they're hard to get here, apparently.

I'm a happy Honda owner, but I disagree with Nissan and Hyundai being above Toyota. Toyota is definitely a close 2nd to Honda if not equal to them.

Nissan is a pos and Hyundai isn't far behind from my experience in the automotive industy.

I believe any car will last if you take care of it well and aren't hard on it though.

I have a mechanic friend who swears if you want reliable, buy German or Japanese. The rest will let you down far more often.
Interesting you don't mention Subaru, the most reliable of the Japanese brands.

I can't really defend Audi too much I just have a bit of a bias for them lol but I know a few Mercedes owners that can push the car over 300k miles when taken care of. But I think all foreign luxury cars like that are pretty good reliability wise, just expensive asf to maintain you know
