The French created a phrase "licking the windows" to describe window shopping as an activity.

If going for a hike can be a hobby (walking aimlessly in the woods), so can casually strolling through shops and store or very competitively rummaging through the hottest thrift stores.

Not all hikers want to be rushed, and some hikers are only looking for elusive mushrooms. Some hikers just want to get to the top and don't care about much else in between (this is me).

Let's stop pretending some hobbies are better than others. Yes, some such as welding/ cross stitching require more technical skill, while others like triathalons/ rowing require more exertion. But some hobbies are crazy expensive (anything with horses am I right) and some are free (looking at clouds). That doesn't make any better or more enjoyable.

No it's a sprint for me. I will run people over with my shopping cart just to get in and out as fast as possible. People piss me off by blocking entire isles while they talk about shit that no one else cares about. Take that shit outside and talk there.

It can be. I'm not going to lie, if my money and space were unlimited, I'd definitely do a lot more of it! I'm not much of a clothes shopper, but have other things such as items I've collected over the years that are hard to pass up (though I often do because that money is better spent elsewhere and I need to get rid of some stuff, not accumulate more, lol).

Sure.
At first I was like.. nah there's no skill to build up but yes there is.
Haggling with the store, selling off the used and older props, deciding nice setups and if combined with friends there's that aspect.

But also, it could easily be an expensive hobby. Srill a hobby though.

It can be. I work at an outdoors sporting goods store one day a week for the discount and to window shop what’s going on in the industry. I see lots of things I’d like but know better than to throw money at. I’m apparently a masochist, but it’s been great training for impulse control.

It definitely is. Some women wait the whole week for Friday/Saturday to come, so that they can go shopping with "the crew". They seem very enthusiastic about it!
