It's nice if you buy it for someone else, on a special occasion. But, for yourself, yeah, overrated.

I wouldn't even buy it for someone else. If someone bought me jewelry, unless its a cross/dogtag on a chain, i’d lose it. I always lose jewelry

In my opinion, making something yourself is better than giving jewelry. But in a pinch, why not.
I don't always lose jewelry, but I do sometimes. I lost the bracelet I got for my birthday from my friends, and one golden necklace/chain. šŸ˜…

There are a few things actually -

*Obnoxious, over-sized mansions with like 30 bathrooms and crap like that. I am good with a decent house modernized to my preference with some land and PRIVACY. Little to NO neighbors!

*Obnoxiously priced vehicles (like Lambos and such).

*Designer handbags like Louis Vuitton. They aren't even that cute and I am not about to drop like $10,000 on a purse I can barely fit a phone in. Same goes for clothing. Not paying $300+ per pair of jeans. Not paying $1,000+ for heels or ANY other type of shoe. I don't even wear heels!

*Tons of fancy, expensive jewelry. I don't need a ring that's bigger than my finger. I also don't need to be decked out in a way that spells "rich b*tch". Might as well have a "please rob and/or abduct me" sign on your back.

*Private jet, yacht, etc. No thanks. Totally unneeded and unnecessary.

*Any sort of real animal skins/furs. Just NO. Period.

Bottom line, if I was rich AF, I'd be low-key AF. You don't advertise things like that for so many reasons. One, no one likes a bragging snob. Two, it just isn't safe. If people know you're rich, you and your loved ones' safety is at risk big time. It just isn't worth it. Keep your money. Live comfortably, have some fun, anonymously help A LOT of worthy causes/charities, etc. Be SMART!

there are a lot of things... smart home /kitchen stuff. Something gold plated or with diamonds on it thats not jewelry. Any kind of exotic animal as a pet. A silly big mansion with 10 bedrooms and a cinema and all that useless crap.
