Is it ok to cut back?

I’m giving my mum a diamond pendant and chocolates for her birthday. Is it ok not to buy a big bouquet of beautiful flowers, too? Since I’m poor and trying to save up to visit my long distance partner and my friend?

Of course. I’m sure your mom would understand that. Wait. Do you live w her? Or living on your own? Regardless yes if my son or daughter didn’t go all out because of something like that I’d understand. I’d rather them experience traveling or something that not many people get to do. My wife likes flowers, but she never really wants flowers because she realizes they can be expensive but they die w in two weeks or so. I’m sure the local grocery store has flowers for like $20, maybe not as extravagant but regardless your mom will love them no matter what. That’s if you want to get her flowers w out killing your budget.
