My parents loved hitting garage sales throughout their extended daily walks. They covered 5 to 8 miles and whenever encountering one would stop and chat while looking through the items. Sometimes they bought but not to often. I remember a time or two they had to leave the things bought and drive back in the pickup. 😅

Where igo in the summer there are frequent yard sales. I got a nice bed frame for my sun porch for 5 bucks. All it needed was some spray paint.

Some of my best shopping trips have been that VERY EXCLUSIVE place known as "Le Curb". It's all free, I'm handy, don't mind the work & I'm cheap AF.

In my town we have a swap shop at the dump. I have found kids bikes, a couple of radios, and a baby stroller. All good stuff, just needed a little cleaning.

One day was so miserably hot, I actually went up to the owner drenched in sweat looking for a good garage sale that he admitted the original price was expensive
Though he offered me, just a few bucks for it since no one was buying anything in this heat except me.

So…. I love Garage Sales, though most of the time you don’t find anything interesting. I wanted this ‘tape deck’, the owner said he’d call me back if it worked and it didn’t. Also it wasn’t for sale, though decided last minute to try to get a deal lol.

I lived in a house divided. I see nothing but trash at garage sales and all my wife sees are treasures. I wouldn't have one. I give stuff away instead of holding a garage sale

if you wanna get rid of some things and maybe collect a few little bucks to treat yourself out for the evening to do something simple it’s fine but you gotta get up real early in the morning and set up for two days in a row lot of work involved that’s mostly for like kids thing to do to make some money
